Our 3 Most Visited Blogs

In the past few months Trevor and I have grown quite a bit as far as building our online business. However, none of it would have been possible if we didn’t have the help of a few very inspirational blogs. In this post, I would like to pay tribute to those that helped us to grow and get us to where we are today. So without further adieu, here are the WSOtesters 3 most visited/inspirational blogs:

  1. Nichepursuits.com – This is the first blog that makes our list, and for good reason. Not only is the owner of this blog, Spencer Haws, the creator of Long Tail Pro, his blog was also the first blog that we stumbled on where someone was actually documenting what he did and telling people about it! I remember when I first found his blog, I doubted his accomplishments. But then as I read through his older posts, I realized that he was a very honest and respectable guy. He didn’t show up on the scene from the abyss spewing about how he had just made millions. Instead, I was able to read actual posts from 4 years ago where he struggled until he finally found something that worked. Spencer has come a long way since then and he continues to inspire us!

  2. AdsenseFlippers.com – Mr. Justin and Mr. Joe of the Adsense Flippers make our list, and is there any question as to why? Let me just say that if you haven’t heard about them yet, and you’re interested in niche sites, then you’re missing out. Justin and Joe have set up camp in the Philippines and they are absolutely dominating with niche sites! They are very transparent about their business and reveal much of their methods on their site. They also inspired us to release sites for private sale on our own page.

  3. SmartPassiveIncome.com – Pat Flynn and his blog, SmartPassiveIncome.com, helped us to develop our backlinking strategy.  Not only that, his concept of how one should build a business based on honesty and transparency have laid the foundation for our own business.  On top of that, he also has one of the best podcasts on the internet, period!  The amount of value and free information on his site is staggering.  So if you haven’t yet been to his site or listened to his podcast yet, go ahead and leave our page and check him out – We won’t be offended 🙂

Well those are our top three go-to blogs. What are yours? We want to know! Also if you enjoy our content please share it with others below.

I wish you all the best!

Plus this website lol. I’ve been following niche pursuits for a quite a bit now aswell your website. I’m just waiting for your backlinking strategy since u explain concepts REALLY WELL.

    • Josh E.Josh E.07-22-2012

Thanks Ray, We should have that out in about a week.

  2. MartinMartin07-23-2012

I definitely follow the adsense flippers, then there is also Andre Garde, Mike from Maine and Chris Guthrie. Oh, and my new favorite WSOtesters!

    • Josh E.Josh E.07-23-2012

Awesome add to the list. We frequently visit their blogs as well, and they absolutely have great information! Chris Guthrie also has a great podcast and great ideas as well…plus I believe he’s also from Seattle like us, so he gets extra bonus points for that.

  3. Paul KostoffPaul Kostoff07-23-2012

nohatseo.com is a new and very promising site that reveals new player in the game (Expired Domains) and other great stuff.
I am sure that you already do know this site, but some of your readers don’t.

    • Josh E.Josh E.07-23-2012

Hey Paul, I visited his site after listening to a Podcast on Spencer’s site. Hayden, of nohatseo, is a beast! That guy is killing it with niche sites, and his strategy of using a powerful blog network to link to his sites is great. Actually we’re hoping to test out some of his tactics pretty soon here.

  4. Casey DennisonCasey Dennison07-23-2012

I visit the exact same blogs you’ve listed above, and have been since the start of my I.M. beginnings – which is about a year ago. There’s a good reason for that, too.

I like what I have found on this site so far. Keep it coming!

    • Josh E.Josh E.07-23-2012

Hey Casey, glad to hear it! So how’s the business going for you then?

  5. JustinJustin07-23-2012

    Hey…thanks for the mention!

We read the other two pretty religiously as well…along with the others Martin mentioned and your site, of course! It’s awesome to see you guys work your way through the process and watch your blog and your business grow.

    • Josh E.Josh E.07-23-2012

Thanks Justin! Trevor and I should visit the Philippines soon. I have quite a bit of family there that I haven’t seen in many years… also it would be nice to get hooked up with those $5 foot massages!

  6. PatPat07-23-2012

Hey Josh and Trevor, thanks so much for the mention here. I’m so glad to see you guys are following the transparency route, and I can see it’s already starting to pay off. Well done on your recent income reports, and I wish you all the best!

    • Josh E.Josh E.07-23-2012

Wow, when you made the podcast about how to be everywhere, you weren’t kidding 🙂 Thanks for dropping in, Pat! We always look forward to every post/podcast you make. Hopefully we’ll get our own started up pretty soon here.

  7. Steve WymanSteve Wyman07-24-2012

    Hi Josh

Those three would represent my top 5 that i check daily.

Adsenseflippers and Smartpassiveincome being very much thought leaders in their respective areas. Pats latest post is a much read for inspiration on the strategy he’s developing for his niche site

On top I would add VirtualBusinessLifestyle.com – Chris Ducker being the go to guy on outsourcing and the Virtualstafffinder.com is a fantastic way to find staff. A bit slow these days but i know chirs is about to launch chrisducker.com

And also I read Seth Godins daily blog posts along with Zen Habits. (ok thats 6 but hey the last two are slim)

    • Josh E.Josh E.07-24-2012

Thanks for the add Steve, I’ll check those sites out later today.

  8. ChrisChris07-24-2012

    Hi Josh,
thanks for sharing. I read SPI since some years, and other mentioned sites (including yours) since 3-4 months.

  9. GinaGina07-24-2012

Great job guys at what you do! How many adsense sights do you guys have? Also, how many did it take to become full-time?

    Good luck:)

    • Josh E.Josh E.07-24-2012

Hey Gina, We have over 200 sites now. I would say that we only started earning a “full time passive income” last month – so that was 3-4 months after we started. However, the online real estate value is what makes everything worth much more. As of right now we plan on selling a few, but keeping most of them.
